Level 1

Ages 4-6

Level 1 is for 4–6 year old beginners who want to learn basic soccer skills and rules in a fun, game-based environment. No prior soccer experience is required, but players must be at least 4 years old and able to follow simple instructions.

With a 1:4 coach-to-kid ratio, each player gets plenty of individual attention while building confidence, coordination, and a love for the game.

  • Learn simple dribbling, passing, and shooting basics
  • Improve balance, coordination, and body control
  • Practice easy game rules and positive teamwork

Each week has one clear focus, helping players progress step by step without feeling rushed.

Level 2

  • Better dribbling, turning, and change-of-direction skills
  • Improved passing & receiving technique
  • Introduction to shooting mechanics
  • Simple decision-making and small game situations

Each week has one clear technical focus, helping players progress consistently while still having fun.

Level 3

Ages 5-10

Level 3 is designed for ages 5–10 who can dribble, receive, and pass the ball, but are still developing consistency and real ball control. Players in this level understand a scrimmage, enjoy physical activity, and are ready for a mix of technical training and early game intelligence.

With a 1:6 coach-to-kid ratio, players receive focused coaching as they learn to connect their skills to real game situations.

  • Improving ball control, turning, and receiving across the body
  • Dribbling, passing, and shooting with better technique
  • Introduction to 1-touch play and quicker decision-making
  • Understanding when to dribble, pass, or shoot
  • Basic attacking & defending concepts

Level 3 includes both technical training and game intelligence sessions to help players progress with confidence.

Level 4

Ages 6-12

Level 4 is designed for ages 6–12 who have played soccer for multiple years and already have strong fundamental skills. Players can dribble, pass, shoot, and receive the ball, but often struggle to apply these skills under pressure or at higher speeds.

Most Level 4 players compete on recreational teams and benefit from a more advanced training environment that blends technique and game intelligence.

  • Applying skills under pressure and game speed
  • Advanced turns and feints (e.g., L-V Turn, Cruyff Turn)
  • Passing & receiving while moving
  • 1-touch play and combination movements
  • Better decision-making: dribble, pass, shoot, or protect
  • Understanding space, positioning, and defending concepts

Level 4 offers both technical training and game intelligence to help players execute skills confidently in real match situations.

Level 5

Ages 7-13

Level 5 is for players who have trained for 3–6 years and already perform all basic soccer moves with confidence. Players at this level do not struggle with skills like the L Turn, Step Over, or Fake Shot. Instead, they work on taking advanced techniques and applying them against real opponents and under game pressure.

Typical ages include Rec+ players ages 10–13 and competitive players ages 7–9.

  • Advanced moves (Ronaldo Chop, Elastico, Chip, advanced LV Turn)
  • First-touch receiving under pressure & receiving balls from the air
  • Weak-foot development for passing and shooting
  • 1v1 defending and attacking principles
  • One-touch passing and combination play
  • Breaking pressure and playing through lines
  • Game intelligence: build-out, switching play, pressing cues, defending in pairs, transition moments

Level 5 emphasizes mastery and application, helping players execute advanced skills consistently in real match situations.

Level 6

Ages 7-13

Level 6 is for advanced competitive players who train at least four times per week and have extensive soccer experience. These players are highly coordinated, technically confident, and motivated to improve at a rapid pace.

Many Level 6 athletes play for top competitive teams such as U12 Burgundy at Rapids or U11 Select 1. They already perform advanced skills with confidence and are ready to apply them under full pressure and at game speed.

  • Advanced moves: Reverse Elastico, Croqueta, Roulette
  • Shooting out of dribbling and first-touch finishing
  • Weak-foot mastery for passing and shooting
  • One-touch and combination play under pressure
  • Receiving high balls and scooping techniques

Level 6 provides elite technical and tactical development for players aiming to excel in competitive soccer environments.

Level 7

Ages 8-14

Level 7 is for elite competitive players who train 6–8 times per week and compete at the highest level for their age. These players have spent several years in competitive environments and show exceptional talent, discipline, and technical mastery.

Training at this level is always performed under opponent pressure and focuses on converting advanced techniques into consistent, high-speed in-game execution.

  • Advanced 1v1 attacking and defending on all sides
  • Turning out of pressure and maintaining possession
  • Finishing out of dribbling, first-touch finishing, and finishing crosses

Level 7 is built for highly motivated players pushing toward elite academy-level performance.

Level 8

Ages 10-14

Level 8 is for players competing at the highest competitive level for their age group. These players train multiple times per week with elite academy teams and come to Fussbally for highly specialized technical development that goes beyond traditional club coaching.

Training in Level 8 is extremely detailed and focused on mastering advanced skills so thoroughly that players can execute them in any game, at full speed, under pressure. Many Level 8 athletes play for teams such as Rapids Elite U12 or comparable U12–U14 elite programs.
