Three ways to play indoor soccer in Denver this winter
- Weekly Indoor Training — 1×, 2× or 3× per week · 60 min · weekday evenings. Small groups sorted by level, not age, on gym floors — the smaller space means more touches and faster decisions than a full field.
- Holiday Break Camps — Thanksgiving week · Winter Break weeks 1 & 2 · 9 AM – 2 PM. Technical development camps in Central Park and southeast Denver gyms. Register by the week or by the day.
- Sunday 3v3 Tournaments — Sunday mornings · 9 AM – 12 PM · Inspire Elementary. Fast indoor 3v3 with hundreds of touches per player, grouped by level.

Why indoor winter training makes players better
- Small space, more touches: A gym is a fraction of a field. Every player is on the ball more often, under more pressure, and has to decide faster — which is why futsal-style training is the fastest way to clean up a first touch.
- No three-month layoff: Most Denver kids stop playing from Thanksgiving to March. Players who train through winter start spring ahead of teammates who stopped, and pick up right where fall left off.
- Denver winter, solved: Sunset is before 5 PM from mid-November into January and evenings are below freezing. Heated gyms mean sessions happen every week — not weather permitting.
What parents get out of winter
- Two structured, screen-free hours out of the house on dark weeknights.
- Break camps run 9 AM – 2 PM while school is out — a real day, not a two-hour clinic.
- Familiar faces — many fall teammates and coaches continue through the winter.
- No new gear beyond flat-soled indoor shoes.
Your first indoor session
- Flat-soled indoor or futsal shoes — no cleats on gym floors.
- Shin guards and a water bottle. Light layers; the gyms are heated.
- Use the gym entrance named in your welcome text — never the main office or cafeteria doors — and please don't prop doors open (a school-district rule).
- Everyone is out of the building by 8 PM, and we leave every gym cleaner than we found it.

FAQs
Is Fussbally's winter program indoor soccer or futsal?
Futsal-style: small groups on gym floors with a smaller playing area, which means more touches per minute and faster decisions than an outdoor field. Sessions follow the same eight-level curriculum as the rest of the year.
Where in Denver are the indoor sessions held?
In Denver Public Schools gyms across Central Park (Willow, Westerly Creek, Isabella Bird, Bill Roberts, Inspire), Hilltop and southeast Denver (Hill and Hamilton middle schools) and Aurora (Fulton Academy, Crawford Elementary, Rocky Mountain Prep Fletcher). Each gym card lists the address and directions.
What nights and times are winter trainings?
Weekday evenings, mostly 6:00–7:00 PM and 7:00–8:00 PM, Monday through Friday depending on the gym and level. Everyone is out of the building by 8 PM.
What should my child wear for indoor soccer?
Flat-soled indoor or futsal shoes (cleats are not allowed on gym floors), shin guards, a water bottle and light layers — the gyms are heated. No special uniform is required.
Do you run winter break soccer camps in Denver?
Yes — Thanksgiving week and both weeks of the DPS winter break, 9 AM to 2 PM, in Central Park and southeast Denver gyms. Register by the week, or by the day once a camp is within 30 days.
What ages is winter indoor soccer for?
Ages 4 to 14. Levels 1–2 are typically ages 4–6, Levels 3–4 ages 5–10, and Levels 5–8 run from about age 7 up — placement is by ability, confirmed at the test session.
What happens on a snow day?
Indoor sessions rarely cancel for weather, but when Denver Public Schools closes its buildings we cannot use the gyms. Families are notified by text and a make-up session is offered.
How is this different from a TOCA or drop-in indoor membership?
Fussbally is coached, level-based small-group training with a defined curriculum and a coach-to-player ratio of 1:5 through Level 4 — level-based groups with player evaluations all winter — rather than a facility membership or open play.
Is winter soccer good for a young player's development?
The winter months are where players either lose three months or gain them. Indoor training keeps the weekly rhythm, and the small space accelerates ball control; players who train through winter start spring ahead of teammates who stopped in November.
Are the gyms heated and safe for kids?
Yes. Sessions run in heated DPS gyms with Fussbally staff at the designated entrance. Families stay in the gym area, and doors are never propped open, per the school district's facility rules.
